God

I've often found myself sitting and pondering the existance of God. Sounds pretty unhealthy right? Why challenge something as popular as God? It's like asking that really popular girl in the cafeteria for her lunch money. It's something you just don't do. Well I must. Why? Because why can't the concept of God be manmade, sorta like alcohol? It certainly can. You know something to keep the people of the world on a humanly moral track. It's worked so far hasn't it? Yeh we have Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Jews and about a billion other religions but for the most part it's kept people under control. It's banded people together, it's given them a support system. There's nothing wrong with that right? But how morally correct is it to believe in something just so we can avoid havoc? Let's all believe in God so we stop the process of survival of the fittest. Now instead of competing against one another for land and food, we're trying to act civil and coexist. But is that how it was really intended to be? That can't be good right? Imagine if we're all down here, and we should be competing and killing one another out depending on who's stronger and got the better survival skills, but what if this doesn't happen? Does that not plunge the world into more trouble?

To be honest, I believe in a higher power. Mostly because it gives me something to hold on to and keep me grounded. But think about it, for years, thru evolution the world has got to this point. No where was there a mention of God, until a few centuries ago when we humans created a language.

I don't condemn anyone in being religious. I would just like it if human could just consider their first religion to be humanity.

That's it.

Thank God.
